HR Assistant

Location: Cardiff

Salary: Up to £24k pa

The Role

TSR Legal are seeking a HR Assistant for a brand-new role based in the Cardiff area. The purpose of the role is to provide full end-to-end support to the HR manager. We’re looking for an ambitious HR assistant who is looking for a new challenge and a long-term career within HR. The firm we’re working with are a top tier Legal 500 commercial law firm with a strong presence across Wales and the South West as well as the City.


  • HR administration, including ensuring that all records are up to date in accordance with current procedures
  • Assisting with pay queries and collating payroll information for submission – including absence data
  • Recruitment activities across the business, including advertising vacancies and organising interviews
  • Producing and issuing standard employment contracts – offer letters, changes to terms etc
  • Assisting with HR related meetings, including on boarding and exit interviews
  • Organising training sessions & workshops, and conducting training evaluations in order to identify gaps across the organisation
  • Successfully managing key internal stakeholder relationships
  • Wider administration tasks such as taking minutes and processing invoices

About you

  • Previous HR & Admin Experience – those who have a HR degree or similar are encouraged to apply
  • MS Excel Intermediate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good Time Management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
