Personal Injury Paralegal

Location: Swansea / Hybrid

Salary: Up to £27k pa (DOE)

The role

TSR Legal are working with a leading UK wide specialist insurer who now have a variety of opportunities looking for skilled Personal Injury Paralegals to join their department across complex PI, credit hire and fraud. The successful applicants will be responsible for their own caseload involving a wide variety of injury claims.

Responsibilities

• Comply with pre and post litigation procedures through the life of a claim to conclude the case effectively and economically
• Validate claims and check all the details agree with records
• Identifying and referring questionable underwriting
• Establish clearly the circumstances of any loss and make appropriate liability enquiries
• Validate accounts/fee notes and authorising payments
• Maintain accurate estimates throughout the life of the claim and make adjustments where appropriate

About you

• Significant experience of handling a motor and non-motor claimant injury caseload;
• Working knowledge of MOJ Portal processes / CPR
• Knowledge of a Case Management System;
• Ability to work to strict Service Level Agreements;
• Technical proficiency in claims handling including litigation;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to analyse and research legal issues;
• Ability to organise and prioritise work;
• Ability to work as part of a team;
• Law degree, CILEx or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential.
