National law firm Bexley Beaumont has strengthened its presence in South Wales with the appointment of experienced solicitor-advocate Jude Owen as a Dispute Resolution Partner.
Based in Cardiff, Jude brings more than 20 years’ experience advising clients on complex civil and commercial disputes across England and Wales. Called to the Bar before qualifying as a solicitor-advocate, she has rights of audience in all civil courts, including the County Court and High Court.
Jude’s practice spans a broad range of commercial, property and probate disputes, and more recently has included matters involving digital assets and artificial intelligence (AI).
Alongside her litigation work, Jude is also a practising mediator and an accredited member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, reflecting the growing emphasis on non-court dispute resolution (NCDR) as an alternative to formal litigation.
Jude’s appointment marks Bexley Beaumont’s latest investment in Wales, following the firm’s arrival in South Wales three years ago with the appointment of family lawyer Eleri Jones as a Partner in its Private Wealth team.
Commenting on the appointment, Karen Bexley, co-founder and Chief Executive of Bexley Beaumont, said the firm continued to attract experienced lawyers looking for a different way of practising.
Karen said:
“Having Jude join us is another indication of how lawyers who have already established themselves across England and Wales recognise that we offer an environment in which they can continue to develop their careers
“We offer greater autonomy in how they work, opportunities for collaboration across legal disciplines and a strong support structure that enables our lawyers to thrive.
Karen also confirmed that the firm expects to make further appointments in Wales over the coming months as it continues to grow its presence in the region.
Founded in 2020, Bexley Beaumont has expanded rapidly and now has 91 solicitors across England and Wales. The firm operates from offices in London and Manchester, alongside a growing network of partners working across the UK.
Earlier this year, Bexley Beaumont was ranked highly in Codex Edge’s annual legal sector report, which highlighted the firm’s talent retention and organisational culture. The firm also became one of a small number of law firms in England and Wales to achieve B Corporation certification, recognising its performance across governance, sustainability and social impact.
