O Shaped was referenced as a learning and development resource and highlighted as an example of ethical leadership by the SRA in its in-house solicitors thematic review.
The hosts aim to open discussions around managing ethical challenges as well as the professional obligations that in-house lawyers must comply with.
The complimentary half-day workshop will cover:
- Key themes around independence and in-house lawyer duties;
- The symbiotic relationship between the legal function and the wider business;
- Exploring and managing the tensions of being an in-house lawyer;
- Setting up for success through policy and procedure;
- The O Shaped ethical decision making model;
- Embedding the O Shaped framework into everyday decision making;
- Discussion around practical scenarios that you may need to act on.
The workshop includes pastries on arrival and a networking lunch. The workshop will commence at 10am and run until to 1pm, with lunch to follow.
