Join those at the heart of business and social value in Wales for an all-new St David’s Day Dinner, hosted in Cardiff as a  celebration of business, community and future generations in Wales.

The St David’s Day Dinner is a landmark celebration in the heart of Cardiff, uniting Wales’ dynamic business community with our rich cultural heritage and a strong focus on future generations. It will be hosted on Thursday 5 March 2026 and is open to all businesses and organisations in Wales.

Bringing together guests from across the private, public and third sectors, the event will offer a unique platform for networking, collaboration and national pride on the Welsh patron saint’s day.

Attendees already booked include professional services specialists – from law firms to finance – to the public and third sector organisations, including energy, education, housing and sport.

Creating a space for the business, public and third sectors to celebrate our national day, with impact

our Editor, Emma Waddingham, sat down event founder Tim Edds (Browne Jacobson) to explore the vision behind the St David’s Day Dinner, who it’s for and the social impact mission at the heart of the event. Click here to read more.

Raising funds to support disadvantaged young people in Wales

For the inaugural event, the St David’s Day Dinner will support and raise funds for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to help further develop the charity’s work to support more disadvantaged young people in Wales, and marking its 70th anniversary year.

The event is designed to become an annual fixture in Wales’ cultural and business calendar, the St David’s Day Dinner 2026 aims to strengthen connections across sectors, elevate Welsh culture within professional settings, and create a lasting legacy for communities throughout Wales, powered by organisations at the heart of transforming and shaping the future of our nation.

The dinner will place young people at its heart; through youth ambassador involvement and dedicated fundraising, the event will support the development of skills, confidence and opportunities for the next generation.

Entertainment

The Welcome Drinks reception is kindly sponsored by Rathbones and starts at 6:30pm

The evening will highlight the strength and vibrancy of our nation’s identity, and especially the talents of our young people. Alongside a panel with the DoE Award youth ambassadors, hosted by Alun Wyn Jones (himself a DoE Award Ambassador), the event will be opened by the Llanishen Fach Primary School Choir, comprised of students from years 3 to 6.

A final entertainment slot will be announced early February, and there will be plenty of focus and time for catching up with peers and making new contacts.
