Legal News Wales is delighted to announce that PEXA UK has joined as a Community Partner, strengthening our commitment to ensuring conveyancers and property law professionals in Wales have unparalleled access to insight, innovation and opportunity in the digital property transaction landscape.

This timely partnership comes as PEXA UK prepares for its full market launch later this year, following recent authorisation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). PEXA has already transformed remortgaging workflows for firms across England and Wales and recently completed the UK’s first fully digital property purchase transaction.

Angela Hesketh, Head of Market Development at PEXA UK, said:

“We are thrilled to partner with Legal News Wales at such a pivotal time for PEXA. We have been greatly impressed by the dedication Legal News Wales shows in supporting and championing the legal community across Wales.

“This collaboration presents an exciting opportunity for us to build stronger relationships with conveyancers throughout the region, as we prepare for our full market launch later this year following our recent FCA authorisation.”

In June 2025, PEXA completed the UK’s first fully digital property purchase in partnership with Hinckley & Rugby Building Society and national law firm Muve. The transaction used PEXA’s proprietary payment scheme, PEXA Pay—one of only seven net settlement schemes clearing through the Bank of England—to securely transfer funds and lodge title with HM Land Registry. This milestone paves the way for the platform’s market-wide Sale & Purchase launch later this year.

Angela said:

“We are proud of the success we have already achieved in the remortgage space, reaching our first £100 million earlier this year. This partnership marks another important step in supporting the profession as we expand into sale and purchase transactions.”

Commenting on the partnership, Emma Waddingham, Editor of Legal News Wales, said:

“We are proud to welcome PEXA UK as a Community Partner. Digital innovation in conveyancing is no longer a distant goal—it is happening here and now, with real benefits for legal professionals and clients alike. This partnership will help ensure firms across Wales have the knowledge, confidence and tools they need to thrive in this new landscape.

“There is more exciting news ahead for the autumn, outlined in the recent podcast (below) that Angela and I recorded which highlights how law firms in Wales can be amongst the first to take advantage of the coming change and avoid missing the recruitment opportunities to support their business and, ultimately, clients and the UK home-moving process.”

PEXA UK is part of the PEXA Group, which originated in Australia and has transformed property settlements through its secure, digital platform.
