The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated and dynamic Crime Duty Solicitor / Associate to work with a small team in Merthyr. Managing a busy and challenging caseload, the successful Crime Duty Solicitor / Associate will attend on clients at the Police Stations, Magistrates and Crown Courts throughout the locality and prepare cases for trial accordingly. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to make a long term appointment.

The Candidate

• must be a qualified Solicitor with Crime Duty accreditation / Higher rights
• must have solid experience in criminal matters
• must have strong advocacy skills
• outstanding communication and client care skills
• work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines
• offer support / guidance to junior staff members
• able to manage a demanding caseload, with minimal supervision
