Family Paralegal | Legal 500

• Location: Cardiff or Swansea | Legal 500 Firm | Full-Time
• Salary: Up to circa £35,000 (DOE)

The opportunity

TSR Legal are delighted to be working with a highly regarded Legal 500 law firm who are looking to make an appointment of a Family Paralegal to join their growing team, based in either Cardiff or Swansea.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to develop their career within a well-established Family team, working alongside experienced solicitors and supporting on a varied caseload.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide paralegal support across a broad range of family matters, assisting fee earners with the day-to-day progression of files and providing a high standard of service to clients.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting solicitors with a varied caseload of family matters.
• Undertaking legal research and preparing relevant documentation.
• Drafting correspondence, statements and other legal documents.
• Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and other professionals.
• Preparing bundles and supporting with case management.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic files.
• Assisting with the preparation of hearings and meetings.
• Managing administrative aspects of matters from instruction through to completion.
• Providing general support to the wider Family team as required.

About You

The firm is looking for someone who is genuinely interested in developing their career within Family Law and who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience within a legal environment, ideally supporting a Family team.
• A good understanding of family law procedures and terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
• A professional and client-focused approach.
• Confidence communicating with clients and other stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
