HCB Widdows Mason has appointed Lorraine Watts as its new Head of Family Law – the firm’s second senior appointment announcement this month.

Based in the firm’s Cardiff office, Lorraine brings nearly two decades of specialist experience in private family law.

Claire Winterburn, Director and Head of Property in Cardiff, said:

“We are thrilled to welcome Lorraine to the team. She shares our commitment to delivering an exceptional level of service, as well as our ambition to continue our growth across the region. Her wealth of experience is outstanding, and we are confident that our clients will benefit greatly from her expertise.”

On the announcement of her new role, Lorraine added:

“I’m looking forward to building the family team from the ground up and implementing the systems and processes I know deliver the best outcomes for clients.

“My aim is to grow the department using the breadth of experience I’ve developed over the last 20 years, and make the most of the firm’s enthusiasm for growth and transformation, and preserving a work-life balance for all employees.”

Lorraine joins HC Widdows Mason from Hutton’s Law, where she was a Partner and Head of the Private Family Department.

Prior to that, she spent almost 16 years at Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice in Cardiff and is recognised in both Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500.
