Grant Stephens Family Law has appointed Bethany Davies to its board of directors as the specialist practice enters its next phase of growth, alongside a significant expansion of its team across Cardiff and Swansea.
The promotion marks another significant step in Bethany’s career with the firm, having joined Grant Stephens Family Law in 2022 before progressing to Associate Director and now becoming a member of the board.
Her appointment follows a period of sustained growth for the specialist family law practice and reflects the firm’s continued investment in its leadership team and the development of its people.
Since joining the firm, Bethany has established herself as an important part of both its legal practice and wider culture, building strong client relationships and a reputation for combining technical expertise with a compassionate and supportive approach.

Bethany specialises in complex divorce and financial matters, as well as children and domestic abuse cases, helping clients navigate what can often be highly complex and emotionally challenging circumstances.
She is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer by The Legal 500 and also manages the firm’s pro bono department, extending her contribution beyond her own caseload to support access to specialist family law advice.
Bethany joins an experienced board which includes founder and Managing Director Grant Stephens, an established family solicitor with a reputation for advising on high-net-worth and complex family law matters in Wales and across the UK.

Firm expands following significant growth
Davies’ appointment comes alongside a rapid expansion of the wider Grant Stephens Family Law team following a period of significant growth for the firm.
Experienced family lawyer Leah Rhydderch has joined as a Senior Associate Solicitor, having previously worked as Head of Family at a large Cardiff law firm. She brings considerable experience and knowledge of family law to the growing specialist team.
The firm has also welcomed Ellie Jones as a junior Solicitor and Jack Hughes as a Paralegal, alongside Siobhan Cummins and Hannah Findlater as Legal Assistants. Morgan Butler has joined the firm’s accounts team, reflecting investment not only in its legal capability but in the wider infrastructure needed to support its continued growth.
Additionally, the expansion forms part of the firm’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of family lawyers. In January, Evie Bignell qualified as a solicitor with Grant Stephens Family Law, having developed her career with the practice, while the arrival of Ellie Jones as a junior Solicitor further strengthens the firm’s emerging legal talent.
