Cardiff-based specialist family law firm, Grant Stephens Family Law, has announced two internal promotions. Nia Thomas has been promoted to Director, and James Jones to Trainee Solicitor.

Nia Thomas joined the firm in 2023, she has a wealth of experience and has been a qualified solicitor since 2009.

Known for her attention to detail, Nia has a strong reputation across South Wales with many years of practising in South-East Wales. She regularly deals with complex matters often including high-net-worth cases and business interests. In her new role, Nia will join the board of directors and play a core role in the further development and expansion of the firm as a key decision-maker.

James Jones became part of the team in 2022 following the completion of his law degree at Swansea University. He went on to complete the legal practice course and a master’s degree in advanced legal drafting, achieving a distinction in his dissertation.

In his new role as a trainee solicitor, James will work alongside solicitors and directors in the firm, attending client meetings, court hearings and working on legal documents whilst completing his training contract to become a fully qualified family lawyer.
