Geldards has announced three new partners and additional promotions in Cardiff in the law firm’s latest round of new year promotions.

The promotions, covering a range of teams and specialisms, came into effect on 1 January 2026 and recognise their contribution to the growth and success of the business.

Senior associates promoted to partner in Cardiff are:

  • Henry Bright – Commercial Property
  • Llinos Davies – Property Dispute Resolution
  • Rachel Kirby – Medical Negligence

Cardiff’s Commercial Property team welcomes the promotion of Henry Bright to Partner. Henry joined Geldards almost a decade ago starting his career at the firm as a trainee solicitor. He now manages a wide portfolio of non-contentious commercial property matters, dealing with major acquisitions and disposals and high value, strategically important transactions across the public, private and charity sectors and is recognised in Legal 500.

In Cardiff’s Dispute Resolution team, Llinos Davies has been promoted to Partner.  Llinos first joined Geldards over a decade ago as a trainee solicitor and has since honed her career specialising in property disputes and litigation. She advises on a range of complex property disputes and high value litigation matters for clients, including well-known national retailers, charities and local authorities.

The Medical Negligence team in Cardiff has been boosted with the promotion to Partner of extremely experienced Medical Negligence lawyer Rachel Kirby. Rachel represents claimants and their families who have experienced negligent care, managing a varied case load including complex birth injuries, brain injuries, misdiagnosis and fatal claims.  She specialises in orthopaedic injuries such as avoidable amputations and spinal injuries resulting from negligent surgery.

These latest promotions bring the total number of partners at the firm to sixty two.  Geldards also announced further promotions across the firm.
