Acuity Law has been named Property Law Firm of the Year at the Insider Wales Property Awards 2026, recognising a landmark year for its Real Estate team and its role in helping shape the future of Wales’ built environment.
The awards, held at The Coal Exchange in Cardiff on Thursday 11th June, celebrates the very best of the Welsh property industry and the people, partnerships and projects driving investment, regeneration and growth across the country.
For Acuity Law’s Real Estate team, the recognition reflects far more than transaction volumes or deal values. It celebrates the trust placed in the firm by clients delivering some of Wales’ most ambitious projects, from major regeneration schemes and infrastructure investment to sustainable development, social housing and landmark commercial transactions.
Gareth Baker, Senior Real Estate Partner at Acuity Law, commented:
“This is a very proud moment for the whole Real Estate team and fantastic recognition of what we have built together.
“Property has always been about more than bricks, buildings and transactions. It is about creating places, unlocking opportunities and supporting the businesses and communities that drive Wales forward.”
Over the past year, the team has continued to work at the heart of the Welsh property market, advising developers, investors, funders, public sector organisations and leading businesses on projects that are transforming places and creating long-term economic impact.
Acuity Law’s success has been built on a different kind of legal partnership, one that combines technical excellence with commercial instinct, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking and a genuine commitment to helping clients make things happen.
Among the team’s standout projects was advising Funfair Sites Limited on the sale of the 20-hectare Porthcawl Fair and former Monster Park site to the Welsh Government, a pivotal step in one of Wales’ most significant coastal regeneration projects.
The team also supported longstanding client Mansford on the sale of Boatfolk Marinas Group to Premier Marinas Limited, backed by the Wellcome Trust. The transaction created the UK’s largest marina operator, bringing together 22 locations and supporting continued investment in coastal communities, tourism and infrastructure.
Closer to home, Acuity Law advised Creditsafe on the relocation of its Welsh headquarters to the newly refurbished Coal House in Cardiff city centre, securing a flagship workspace aligned with the company’s sustainability ambitions and future growth plans.
The award also recognises Acuity Law’s continued investment in specialist expertise and innovation, supporting renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects, alongside continued growth across its planning, environmental, telecommunications and social housing practices.
Gareth added:
“We are incredibly fortunate to work alongside clients who are ambitious, entrepreneurial and committed to making a difference. Our role is to stand shoulder to shoulder with them, in true partnership, solving problems, finding opportunities and helping deliver projects that genuinely matter.
“This award belongs to every member of our Real Estate team. Their talent, commitment and commercial mindset are what set Acuity apart, and I could not be prouder of what we continue to achieve together.”
With a growing national presence and offices in Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol, London and Liverpool, Acuity Law continues to challenge the traditional legal model, combining exceptional legal expertise with a commercial, collaborative approach that helps clients move faster, think bigger and achieve more.
Acuity law combines innovation and creative thinking, with legal expertise and deep client understanding, to deliver commercial solutions that go beyond expectations and make a real difference.
