Jenni Gregory, Operations Manager at South Wales law firm Watkins & Gunn, has been named Winner of the Rising Star in Operations Award at the Operational Excellence Awards 2026.

The national award recognises operations professionals with fewer than five years’ experience who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, creativity, initiative and teamwork while delivering tangible value for their organisation, colleagues and customers.

Jenni’s success reflects the outstanding contribution she has made since moving into an operational leadership role at Watkins & Gunn. Through her energy, innovation and commitment to continuous improvement, she has played a key role in modernising the firm’s operations, improving efficiency, supporting colleagues and enhancing the service delivered to clients across the business.

The award recognises individuals who demonstrate excellence in their day-to-day responsibilities while showing the initiative, creativity and collaborative leadership needed to drive meaningful change. Jenni’s win is testament to the impact she has made in a relatively short period of time and the high regard in which she is held by colleagues throughout the firm.

Managing Director Clive Thomas, said:

“We are thrilled that Jenni has received this award. It recognises the qualities we see in her every day: initiative, creativity, leadership, collaboration and a relentless drive to improve.

“Jenni has played a major role in helping Watkins & Gunn develop and modernise our operations, and she has done so while supporting colleagues and keeping clients at the heart of everything we do. This is a tremendous achievement and one that’s richly deserved.”

Jenni commented:

“I’m delighted to receive this award. Moving into operations has given me the opportunity to make a real difference across the firm, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.

“For me, operational excellence is about finding better ways of working, supporting people to do their best work and creating positive change that ultimately benefits our clients. I have been fortunate to work alongside fantastic colleagues who have embraced new ideas and shared a commitment to continuous improvement.”

Jenni’s achievement comes at an exciting time for Watkins & Gunn as the firm continues to invest in innovation, technology and the development of its people. Clive added that “her success reflects not only her own talent and dedication, but also the firm’s commitment to creating opportunities for individuals to grow, lead and make a lasting impact’.
