Lauren Perdikis, a specialist commercial property lawyer with a particular focus on digital infrastructure and data centres, has joined HCR Law as a Partner, based in the Cardiff office.

Lauren has held both private practice and in-house roles, having previously worked at a Magic Circle firm and, most recently, as Director and Senior Legal Counsel for a leading European data centre operator with a presence across 12 countries.

Her expertise spans leasing, acquisitions and disposals, development, and finance, with a particular strength in advising on complex commercial real estate developments in the technology sector.

Commenting on the appointment, Anthony Goodfellow, Head of Commercial Property at HCR Law, said:

“Lauren is a hugely impressive solicitor with expertise in digital infrastructure and data centre delivery. As the development of data centres across England and Wales accelerates to meet growing demand, her unique insight gained from working in both private practice and in-house will be invaluable to our clients. We’re delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Lauren added:

“HCR Law’s growing national reputation as a firm where people want to work and businesses want to work with made it a compelling choice. I’m excited to return to private practice, working alongside clients becoming a trusted adviser and member of their extended team, supporting them to achieve their commercial goals.

According to a report by techUK, data centres are expected to contribute an additional £44 billion to the UK economy by 2035.

Key locations for future development have been identified across the UK, including Cardiff and Newport, both considered to be in the early stages of their data centre journey. In these areas, there is a growing focus on repurposing legacy brownfield sites to support future digital infrastructure.

Lauren will be based in HCR’s Welsh office in Cardiff, advising clients across Wales and England.
